Goated Baccarat is a provably-fair Goated Originals version of the classic card game: back the Player, the Banker, or a Tie, and whichever hand lands closest to 9 wins the coup.

Goated publishes a 1.06% house edge for the game — a 98.94% RTP. That is the Banker bet's figure, the strongest seat on the layout and one of the lowest edges anywhere in a casino. Back the Player instead and you give up a little more; back the Tie or a side bet and you give up a great deal more.

Where Goated adds to the classic is the side-bet menu: Player Pair, Banker Pair, Either Pair, Perfect Pair, and the Dragon Bonus paying up to 30:1. Every card is derived cryptographically before the deal and can be verified afterwards — no croupier, no trust required.

What is the Baccarat game on Goated?

Goated Baccarat is an in-house, provably-fair build of the game long associated with high rollers, private salons, and James Bond — but stripped of the ceremony. There is no dealer to wait on and no table minimum to clear. You place chips on the layout, deal, and the coup resolves immediately.

The appeal of baccarat has always been its simplicity. You are not playing a hand — you are betting on which of two hands wins. Both the Player hand and the Banker hand are dealt by the game itself; neither belongs to you, and neither belongs to the house in any meaningful sense. "Player" and "Banker" are just the names of the two sides of the bet.

That structure is why baccarat is a favourite of people who care about house edge. There are no decisions to get wrong, no strategy chart to memorise, and the main bets sit close to even money against the house.

What are the rules of Goated Baccarat?

Two hands are dealt — Player and Banker — and the one closest to a total of 9 wins.

• Card values — Aces count 1, cards 2 through 9 count face value, and 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings all count 0.
• Totals use the last digit only — hand totals are taken modulo 10. A 7 and an 8 make 15, which is a total of 5. There is no busting in baccarat.
• A natural stops the drawing — if either hand totals 8 or 9 on its first two cards, both hands stand and no third card is dealt to anyone. The two totals are then compared as normal, so a natural 9 beats a natural 8, and two equal naturals are a Tie.
• Third cards are automatic — if neither hand has a natural, drawing follows a fixed schedule. The Player hand draws on totals 0–5 and stands on 6–7; the Banker hand then draws or stands according to its own total and the Player's third card. You never make this decision — the game does.
• Settlement — the higher final total wins. Equal totals are a Tie: the Tie bet pays, and Player and Banker bets are returned.

The Dragon Bonus (Player Bonus / Banker Bonus) is the one bet on the layout that pays on how far your chosen hand wins by, rather than simply whether it won:

Two things to read carefully here. The margin ladder applies to non-natural hands only — a hand that wins with a natural 8 or 9 pays a flat 1:1 no matter how wide the gap, so a natural 9 against a 0 is a 1:1 result, not a 30:1 one. And the ladder starts at 4: winning by 1, 2 or 3 points is not a paying outcome for this bet.

Why the Banker bet pays 0.95:1 instead of even money: the Banker hand acts second and draws with more information, so it wins slightly more often than the Player hand. The 5% commission is exactly what prices that advantage back out. It looks like a worse bet and is in fact the better one — which is the whole reason baccarat's headline edge is as low as it is.

The Tie and the side bets run the other way. An 8:1 Tie and a 30:1 Dragon Bonus are the loud, high-variance seats at the table: they cost significantly more edge than Player or Banker, and they are priced to. Treat them as entertainment rather than value.

What features does Goated Baccarat have?

• Auto-bet — set a number of bets and let them run: raise or reset your stake by a percentage on a win or a loss, and stop automatically on a target profit or loss.
• Hotkeys — Space places the bet, W doubles the bet amount, S halves it, A clears the layout, and D undoes your last chip.
• Provably fair dealing — the cards for each coup are derived from a pre-committed cryptographic seed and can be reproduced by you afterwards.

How to play Goated Baccarat

1. Open Baccarat from the Goated Originals lobby.
2. Choose a chip size, then place chips on Player, Banker or Tie. Toggle Side Bets on if you want the pair and bonus markets too.
3. Deal. Both hands are dealt out, third cards are drawn automatically where the rules call for them.
4. Totals are compared — closest to 9 wins — and every bet on the layout settles at its own odds.

A worked example: you back Banker for 10 and add 1 on Banker Pair. The Banker opens with two 7s — that is 14, so a total of 4, and the pair side bet is already live. Neither hand has a natural, so drawing proceeds; the Banker ends on 7 and the Player on 5. Banker wins, paying 9.50 on the main bet after commission, and the pair pays 11. Against an 11 stake, that returns 31.50.

What strategies can you use for Goated Baccarat?

Baccarat is the rare casino game with genuinely nothing to play. Every drawing decision is fixed by the rules, so your only real choice is which bet you make — and that choice is settled by arithmetic, not by feel:

• Bet Banker. Even after the 5% commission, it is the lowest-edge bet on the layout. This is the entire strategic content of baccarat, and it is not a matter of opinion.
• Skip the Tie. An 8:1 payout on a genuinely rare outcome sounds generous and isn't. It costs many times the edge of the main bets.
• Side bets are variance, not value. Perfect Pair at 25:1 and the Dragon Bonus at 30:1 exist to make coups exciting. Size them as entertainment spend, separate from your main stake.
• Pattern systems don't work. Roads, streaks, "the shoe is choppy" — all of it assumes cards leaving a pack and changing what's left. Here every card is drawn independently from the full 52-card index, so no shoe depletes and no coup carries information into the next. The Trends panel is a record, not a forecast.
• Progressions reshape the ride, not the return. Martingale and its relatives change how your bankroll moves, never what it averages.

Honest verdict: bet Banker, keep side bets small and deliberate, and set a session limit before you start. There is no play here that beats the 1.06% — the skill is in choosing the best bet and then staying disciplined about stake size.

Is Goated Baccarat fair?

Yes — and you can prove it yourself for any coup you have played. The cards are generated from three inputs: a server seed (committed as a hash before you bet), your client seed (editable in your settings), and a nonce that increments with each bet. These are combined with HMAC-SHA256 as HMAC-SHA256(server_seed, client_seed:nonce:cursor), and the resulting byte stream is mapped onto the 52-card index to produce the cards dealt to each hand.

One detail of that algorithm is worth understanding, because it changes how the game behaves: each card is drawn independently from the full 52-card index, so nothing is ever removed from a pack. There is no depleting shoe to track and no cut card to wait for. That is why card counting has no foothold here, and why one coup tells you nothing at all about the next.

Because the server seed is hashed and shown before you place a chip, Goated cannot change what is dealt after seeing your bet.
