What is the HiLo game on Goated?

Goated HiLo is a custom-built, in-house Originals title. A card is shown face-up; you predict whether the next card drawn will be higher or lower, and each correct prediction multiplies your potential payout. Your streak continues until you cash out, or until one wrong call ends the round and takes that round's stake.

What elevates it beyond a coin flip is transparency at every step. The interface shows the live probability of each outcome before you commit, and each call's payout step is sized to those odds — safe calls pay small steps, long shots pay big ones. What are the rules of Goated HiLo?

• Place your bet — the round starts with a face-up card.

How to play Goated HiLo

1. Set your bet amount and start the round — a card is dealt face-up.

5. A wrong call ends the round and the streak.

The odds logic is intuitive: the current card sets the probabilities. Against a very low card, "higher" wins far more often — so it pays a small multiplier step and "lower" a large one. Against a mid-range card, both options sit near a coin flip. Each step is sized to the true probability of the call (minus the 1% edge), and steps multiply across the streak, which is how long runs build serious multipliers. The exact figures are shown in-game before you commit, so there's nothing to memorize.

What strategies can you use for Goated HiLo?

HiLo strategy runs on two levels: how you play each streak, and how you size your bets.

In-streak play:

• Play the percentages — favouring the high-probability call on extreme cards wins often but builds the multiplier slowly. Comfortable, low-variance.
• Hunt the long shots — calling against the odds pays big steps quickly, but streaks die fast. High variance, same expected value.
• Use skip on mid cards — the skip button exists for the near-coin-flip situations; passing them and betting only on favourable cards is the cleanest use of the tool.
• Set a cash-out rule — deciding in advance to bank after a set number of calls keeps sessions disciplined.

Bankroll systems, run through auto-bet: Martingale (double after losses — risky, cap it with Stop on Loss), Paroli (press wins, reset on a loss), D'Alembert (one unit up/down), or flat betting (steadiest of all).

Honest verdict: because every payout step is priced to its true probability minus the 1% edge, no calling pattern, skip habit, or staking system changes the long-run 99% return. Strategy shapes variance and session experience, not expected value — the probability indicators make each trade visible, not beatable.

Is Goated HiLo fair?

Yes — and you can verify it. Every card sequence is generated from three inputs: a server seed (committed as a hash before you bet), your client seed (editable in your settings), and a nonce that increments each bet. These are combined with HMAC-SHA256 as HMAC-SHA256(server_seed, client_seed:nonce:cursor), and the resulting bytes are converted into floats that fix the card order before your first call.

Because the server seed is hashed and shown before the round, Goated cannot swap cards mid-streak — the deck order is locked before you see the first card. To audit any past round: rotate your seed on the seeds page to reveal the previous server seed, then reproduce the sequence on the verification page.
