Goated Mines is a provably-fair Goated Originals game played on a 25-tile grid: you choose how many mines are hidden, reveal gems to grow a compounding multiplier, and cash out any time before hitting a mine — all at a 99% RTP.

It takes the familiar Minesweeper board and turns it into a pure risk-management game: every safe reveal is a decision to bank the multiplier now or press on for a bigger one.

Because you set the mine count from 1 to 24, Mines scales from near-coin-flip caution to extreme volatility — and the 1% house edge stays identical at every setting, verifiable through Goated's provably-fair system.

What is the Mines game on Goated?

Goated Mines is a custom-built, in-house Originals title: a 5×5 grid of 25 tiles hides a number of mines you choose before the round starts. Every tile you flip is either a gem — which multiplies your potential payout — or a mine, which ends the round and takes that round's stake.

The hook is that nothing forces you onward. After any safe reveal you can cash out and lock in the current multiplier, making Mines one of the few casino games where the core gameplay is the risk decision: the math is fixed and transparent, and the only variable is how far you push.

What are the rules of Goated Mines?

  • Set your mine count — choose 1 to 24 mines before betting; the rest of the 25 tiles are gems.
  • Reveal tiles one at a time — each gem compounds your multiplier, with the cash-out value always displayed.
  • Cash out whenever you like — after any safe reveal, bank your stake times the current multiplier.
  • Hit a mine and the round ends — that round's stake is lost; earlier cash-outs are already yours.
  • Clear every safe tile — the round ends automatically at the maximum multiplier for your mine count and pays out.

The board is fixed before your first click and cannot change mid-round — enforced by the provably-fair system, not by promise.

What features does Goated Mines have?

Mines pairs its click-by-click tension with the full Goated automation suite:

  • Bet Amount — the base stake for every round.
  • Number of Bets — how many rounds an auto-bet session runs.
  • On Win adjustment — reset to base stake or increase your bet by a set percentage after a win.
  • On Loss adjustment — reset or increase by a percentage after a loss, for recovery-style systems.
  • Stop on Profit — automatically end the session once total profit hits your target.
  • Stop on Loss — automatically end the session when losses reach your limit.
  • Instant Auto-bet — run an entire auto-bet session instantly and see the summarized result.
  • Custom strategies — build, save, and reuse your own betting strategies with Goated's strategy editor.
  • Adjustable mine count — 1 to 24 mines, letting you dial variance from mild to extreme.
  • Cash out anytime — bank the current multiplier after any safe reveal.

How to play Goated Mines

  1. Set your bet amount.
  2. Choose how many mines to hide (1–24).
  3. Press Bet to lock in the board and start revealing tiles.
  4. Each gem raises your multiplier; Cash Out at any point to bank it.
  5. Hit a mine and the round ends.

The multiplier math is exact. Every safe reveal multiplies your payout by:

Multiplier step = 0.99 ÷ (probability the next tile is safe)

The probability a tile is safe is (safe tiles left ÷ tiles left), and steps compound. The 0.99 is the 1% house edge, applied once per step. Here's the first-reveal multiplier at different mine counts, straight from that formula:

MinesSafe tilesFirst reveal pays
124~1.03x
322~1.13x
520~1.24x
10151.65x
1510~2.48x
2054.95x
24124.75x

Worked example (3 mines): the first gem pays 0.99 ÷ (22/25) = ~1.13x; the second compounds to ~1.27x; the third to ~1.45x. At 24 mines, the single safe tile pays 24.75x in one click. More mines start higher and climb faster, but every click carries more risk.

What strategies can you use for Goated Mines?

Mines strategy has two layers: in-round decisions and bankroll systems.

In-round: the honest math says every reveal is the same fair trade — the multiplier step exactly compensates the risk, minus the 1% edge. There is no point where continuing becomes "bad value." A rule like "always cash out after N gems" doesn't improve returns, but it keeps sessions disciplined.

Bankroll systems, run through auto-bet:

  • Martingale — raise your bet after every loss to recover with one win. At high mine counts losing streaks are the norm, so this gets expensive fast. Use Stop on Loss.
  • Paroli — increase after each win, reset after a loss. Caps downside, doesn't add edge.
  • D'Alembert — one unit up after a loss, one down after a win. The gentlest progression.
  • Flat betting — same stake every round. Lowest variance, longest bankroll life.

Honest verdict: no mine count, cash-out rule, or betting system changes the 1% edge — over enough rounds everything returns 99%. Strategy shapes variance, not expected value. Pick the mine count that matches the swings you want, and set your stops before you start.

Goated Mines vs classic Minesweeper

StakesReal wagers, compounding multiplierNo stakes
Board25 tiles, 1–24 mines (your choice)Fixed presets

The number hints are the key difference: Minesweeper is a logic puzzle, while Goated Mines gives no clues by design. The gamble is the game.

Is Goated Mines fair?

Yes — and you don't have to take Goated's word for it. Every board is generated from three inputs: a server seed (committed as a hash before you bet), your client seed (editable in your settings), and a nonce that increments each bet. These are combined with HMAC-SHA256 as HMAC-SHA256(server_seed, client_seed:nonce:cursor), and the resulting bytes are converted into floats that fix the mine positions before your first click.

Because the server seed is hashed and shown before the round, Goated cannot move mines after you start revealing — and "Mines predictors" are impossible by construction, since the board isn't generated as you click. To audit any past round: rotate your seed on the seeds page to reveal the previous server seed, then reproduce the board on the verification page. The full algorithm is published on the implementation page.
