Welcome to Goated's Plinko Original. Inspired by the Japanese game Pachinko, Plinko lets you drop a ball from the top of a triangular pin pyramid to find the winning route to a corresponding multiplier. Customize your risk factor to suit your play style, whether you are risk averse, a normie or a true crypto degen. Discover your winnings as the balls bounce and fall through the pins, with larger payouts at the edges and smaller ones in the center. Learn more about Plinko and Advanced strategies here.

Goated Plinko is a provably-fair Goated Originals game where a ball drops through a triangular pyramid of pins and pays the multiplier of the slot it lands in — with you controlling the board through risk level (Low, Normie, Degen) and row count (8 to 16), all at a 99% RTP.
It's the most visual of the Originals: you watch every bounce, but the outcome is already fixed by the provably-fair hash the moment you drop. No timing, no aim — just a board shape you chose and math you can verify.
Between the calmest and wildest settings, the same 1% house edge applies — what changes is purely how your returns are distributed.

What is the Plinko game on Goated?
Goated Plinko is a custom-built, in-house Originals title based on the classic pegboard ball drop. A ball enters at the top of a triangular pin pyramid and bounces left or right at each row of pins until it lands in one of the multiplier slots along the bottom. Your payout is your stake times that slot's multiplier.
What makes the Goated version more than an animation is control over the board itself. You pick the number of pin rows — 8 up to 16 — and one of three risk levels: Low, Normie, and Degen. Together they decide how extreme the edge multipliers get and how much of the board's value sits in the middle versus the rims.
What are the rules of Goated Plinko?
- Set the board before you drop — choose rows (8–16) and risk (Low/Normie/Degen); the slot multipliers update to match.
- Drop the ball — it bounces left or right at each pin row.
- Get paid by the landing slot — your stake times that slot's multiplier, instantly.
- Each drop is independent — no drop influences the next.
There are no decisions after the drop. Like Limbo and Dice, Plinko is a pre-commitment game: your settings are your bet.
What features does Goated Plinko have?
Plinko ships with the full Goated Originals automation suite:
- Bet Amount — the base stake for every drop.
- Number of Bets — how many drops an auto-bet session runs.
- On Win adjustment — reset to base stake or increase your bet by a set percentage after a win.
- On Loss adjustment — reset or increase by a percentage after a loss, for recovery-style systems.
- Stop on Profit — automatically end the session once total profit hits your target.
- Stop on Loss — automatically end the session when losses reach your limit.
- Instant Auto-bet — run an entire auto-bet session instantly and see the summarized result.
- Custom strategies — build, save, and reuse your own betting strategies with Goated's strategy editor.
- Adjustable rows — 8 to 16 rows of pins, widening or tightening the spread of outcomes.
- Three risk levels — Low, Normie, and Degen reshape the slot multipliers from flat to extreme.
How to play Goated Plinko
- Set your bet amount.
- Choose your risk level — Low, Normie, or Degen.
- Choose the number of rows (8–16).
- Press Bet to drop the ball — the slot it lands in pays your bet times that slot's multiplier.
The odds logic follows from the board's geometry. At every pin the ball goes left or right, so a board with n rows has 2ⁿ equally-likely paths into n + 1 slots — 256 paths into 9 slots at 8 rows, 65,536 paths into 17 slots at 16 rows. Many paths lead to the centre and very few reach the edges, which is why:
- Centre slots are hit constantly and carry the smallest multipliers.
- Edge slots are hit rarely and carry the largest multipliers — on a 16-row board, only one path in 65,536 reaches each outermost corner.
- More rows mean rarer edges: the top multipliers grow, but so does the wait between big hits.
- Higher risk (Low → Normie → Degen) shifts payout weight outward: centre slots pay less, edge slots pay dramatically more.
The exact multiplier for every slot is displayed on the board for your current rows-and-risk combination — read it before you drop. Whatever the shape, every combination returns the same 99% over the long run.
What strategies can you use for Goated Plinko?
Plinko has no in-round decisions, so strategy lives entirely in configuration and bankroll management.
Configuration: Low risk with fewer rows is a grind — most drops return close to your stake. Degen with 16 rows is a lottery ticket — most drops lose while you hunt the corners. Neither is better value; they're different variance profiles of the same 99%.
Bankroll systems, run through auto-bet:
- Martingale — increase your bet after every loss to recover with one win. On high-risk boards, "losses" (sub-1x slots) come in long runs — pair with Stop on Loss or don't run it at all.
- Paroli — increase after each win, reset after a loss. Caps downside, doesn't add edge.
- D'Alembert — one unit up after a loss, one down after a win. The gentlest progression.
- Flat betting — same stake every drop. The natural fit for Degen boards, where a single edge hit defines the session.
Honest verdict: no row count, risk level, or betting system changes the 1% edge — over enough drops everything returns 99%. Strategy shapes variance, not expected value. Choose the board that matches the swings you want and set your stops before you start.

Is Goated Plinko fair?
Yes — and you can prove it. Every drop is generated from three inputs: a server seed (committed as a hash before you bet), your client seed (editable in your settings), and a nonce that increments each bet. These are combined with HMAC-SHA256 as HMAC-SHA256(server_seed, client_seed:nonce:cursor), and the resulting bytes are converted into floats that determine the ball's path — the animation just replays a result that was already fixed.
Because the server seed is hashed and shown before your bet, Goated cannot steer a ball after you drop. To audit any past drop: rotate your seed on the seeds page to reveal the previous server seed, then reproduce the result on the verification page. The full algorithm is published on the implementation page.
