Coinflip
Call heads or tails and flip. A correct call pays 1.96x at a 98% RTP. Switch on Continuous to keep a winning call running, doubling your multiplier with every flip that lands, up to 20 flips and 1,027,604.48x, and cash out whenever you like. Or play Target: choose how many flips to make and how many have to land your side, and get paid by how hard the target is. Every flip is provably fair.
Edge: 2%
Coinflip is the crypto coin flip casino game from Goated Originals: you call heads or tails, the coin flips, and a correct call pays 1.96x. It is provably fair, and the RTP is 98% in every mode.
There are two ways to bet. Classic pays when every flip lands the side you called, and with Continuous switched on you can keep flipping after a win, doubling your multiplier each time, for up to 20 flips. Target flips up to 20 coins at once and pays if at least a set number of them land on your side.
The top prize is the same in both modes: 20 out of 20, which pays 1,027,604.48x and happens once in 1,048,576 rounds.

What is the Coinflip game on Goated?
Coinflip is an in-house Goated Originals coin flip gambling game built on one fair coin. Every flip is a 50/50 between heads and tails. What you choose is how many flips to put on the line and how they have to land.
In Classic you call a side for each flip and every call has to be right. In Target you pick one side and a minimum, for example at least 6 heads out of 10 coins, and the game sets the price from the exact chance of that happening. The game shows the multiplier and the win chance before you bet.
What are the rules of Goated Coinflip?
- Every flip is 50/50 — heads and tails are equally likely on every flip, and past flips do not change the next one.
- Classic, single flip — call heads or tails. A correct call pays 1.96x, a wrong call loses the stake.
- Classic, Continuous — after a correct call the round stays open. Call the next flip, heads or tails, or cash out. Each correct call doubles the multiplier. One wrong call ends the round and loses the stake.
- Chains stop at 20 flips — a round has at most 20 flips, which is where the 1,027,604.48x top prize sits.
- Target — choose 1 to 20 coins, the side you are betting on, and the minimum number that must land on that side. All coins flip at once. Hit the minimum or more and you are paid the multiplier shown.
- Payout is your stake times the multiplier for the chain length or target you chose.
What features does Goated Coinflip have?
- Two bet modes — Classic for calling flips one by one, Target for betting on a count across many coins.
- Continuous — a switch in Classic that lets you carry a win into the next flip, with a cash out button after every correct call.
- Up to 20 coins — in Auto and in Target you choose how many coins a round flips, from 1 to 20.
- Turbo mode — skips the flip animation.
- Hotkeys — Space places a bet or cashes out, W doubles the bet, S halves it, A picks heads, D picks tails.
- Bet Amount — the base stake for every round.
- Number of Bets — how many rounds an auto-bet session runs.
- On Win adjustment — reset to base stake or increase your bet by a set percentage after a win.
- On Loss adjustment — reset or increase by a percentage after a loss.
- Stop on Profit — end the session once total profit hits your target.
- Stop on Loss — end the session when losses reach your limit.
How to play Goated Coinflip
Classic
- Set your bet amount.
- Press Bet on Heads or Bet on Tails. The coin flips and the round settles at 1.96x if you called it.
- To chain flips, switch on Continuous first. After a correct call, press Heads or Tails to flip again, or Cashout to take the current payout.
- In Auto, choose 1 to 20 coins and set a call for each one. They are flipped in one bet, and it pays only if every call lands.
A chain of N correct calls pays 0.98 × 2^N, and the chance of getting there is 1 in 2^N:
| Correct calls in a row | Multiplier | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.96x | 1 in 2 |
| 2 | 3.92x | 1 in 4 |
| 3 | 7.84x | 1 in 8 |
| 4 | 15.68x | 1 in 16 |
| 5 | 31.36x | 1 in 32 |

| 20 | 1,027,604.48x | 1 in 1,048,576 |
Target
- Set your bet amount and switch the game mode to Target.
- Choose how many coins to flip, from 1 to 20.
- Choose the side to bet on, heads or tails.
- Set the minimum number of coins that must land on that side.
- Press Bet. All coins flip at once and the round settles.
A Target bet pays 0.98 ÷ the chance of hitting it. Some examples:
| Coins | Minimum on your side | Win chance | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | 75% | 1.3067x |
| 5 | 3 | 50% | 1.96x |
| 5 | 5 | 3.125% | 31.36x |
| 10 | 4 | 82.81% | 1.1834x |
| 10 | 5 | 62.30% | 1.5729x |
| 10 | 6 | 37.70% | 2.5998x |
| 10 | 8 | 5.47% | 17.92x |
| 20 | 10 | 58.81% | 1.6664x |
| 20 | 15 | 2.07% | 47.355x |
| 20 | 20 | 1 in 1,048,576 | 1,027,604.48x |
Most bets cannot reach 20 flips, because a single round has a maximum payout. The bigger your bet, the sooner a chain reaches that limit. When it does, the game stops offering the next flip and you cash out.
What strategies can you use for Goated Coinflip?
No call is better than another. Heads and tails are both 50%, and a run of heads does not make tails more likely. What you control is the mode, the length of the chain or the target, and your bet size.
Continuous is where the one real decision is. The 2% edge is taken once per round, not once per flip. Three correct calls in one Continuous round pay 7.84x. Three separate single bets, rolling the winnings over each time, pay 1.96 × 1.96 × 1.96 = 7.53x. After your first win, each extra flip is a straight double or nothing on the payout you already have.
Target changes the swings, not the value. Every target returns 98% over time. A low minimum wins often and pays little. A high minimum wins rarely and pays a lot.
Bet sizing, run through auto-bet:
- Martingale — raise your bet after every loss to recover with one win. Losing streaks on a coin are common, so this gets expensive fast. Use Stop on Loss.
- Paroli — increase after a win, reset after a loss. Caps the downside, adds no edge.
- D'Alembert — one unit up after a loss, one down after a win. The gentlest progression.
- Flat betting — same stake every round. Lowest variance, longest bankroll life.
Honest verdict: no mode and no betting system changes the 2% edge. Over enough rounds everything returns 98%. Pick the swings you are comfortable with and set your stops before you start.
Goated Coinflip vs a regular coin toss
| Feature | Goated Coinflip | A regular coin toss |
|---|---|---|
| Odds per flip | 50/50 | 50/50 |
| Payout for a correct call | 1.96x | Whatever the two sides agree, usually even money |
| House edge | 2% | None |
| Streaks | Chain up to 20 flips, cash out after any win | One toss at a time |
| Many coins at once | Target mode, up to 20 coins | Not practical |
| Proof of fairness | Every result can be re-checked from the seeds | You trust the person flipping |
Is Goated Coinflip fair?
Yes, and you can check it yourself. Every round comes from three inputs: a server seed that is committed as a hash before you bet, your client seed, which you can edit in your settings, and a nonce that increases with each bet. They are combined with HMAC-SHA256 as HMAC-SHA256(server_seed, client_seed:nonce:cursor), and the resulting bytes become a list of numbers between 0 and 1. Each flip takes the next number in the list: below 0.5 is heads, anything else is tails.
One nonce covers a whole round, so every flip of a chain or a Target round comes from the same seed pair. What the coin lands on does not depend on the side you called. To audit a past round, rotate your seed on the seeds page to reveal the previous server seed, then reproduce the flips on the verification page. The algorithm is published in full on the implementation page.
